Within the heart of Greenwich Village stands a testament to revolution and resilience - the first LGBTQ+ visitor center in the National Park Service. Adjacent to the historic Stonewall Inn at 51 Christopher Street, this sacred space honors the defiant spirit of the Stonewall Rebellion that ignited a movement.

Through lively archival photos and dynamic pops of color, our timeline weaves together three pivotal chapters: Greenwich Village's emergence as the nation's first LGBTQ+ enclave, the transformative moment when a routine police raid sparked the Stonewall Rebellion, and the expanding ripples of LGBTQ+ organizing - from the fight against HIV/AIDS to the achievement of marriage equality in 2015.

The exhibition design pulses with the energy of protest and pride, using flowing color gradients to connect watershed moments. Here, past and present merge to inspire a new generation of activists to carry forward the enduring fight for LGBTQ+ rights and dignity.
