personal project
2021
a series of vignettes of from my sabbatical trip to tokyo in 2016. an hommage to the iconic work of japanese graphic designer ikko tanaka. the black and white photo illustrations are super-imposed on top of the blocky tokyo typography rendered in a range of oversaturated gradients to express the dynamic contrast between the ultramodern and the traditional visual elements of the city.
